Changing one’s life, embarking upon a new journey, living in a foreign country, and amongst new people can be a daunting and overwhelming experience. So too can your first house sit. Especially in another country if you’ve never done it before. Nat and Jodie have made house sitting a lifestyle and an art. They sat with my husband and I one-on-one to share pitfalls, stories, and valuable information on how to enter the world of housesitting. All of which helped us to get off the ground running with our first sit. 

So much so, that our first training session with Nat and Jodie in San Miguel De Allende Mexico turned into a weeklong last-minute house sit with a cute little dog named Twiggy. Jodie personally guided me through the first introductory meeting with the homeowner, which was incredibly helpful as the homeowner was nervous and distracted with last-minute details for her trip. Had I conducted the meeting alone, critical information would have certainly been missed. Jodie knew just what questions to get answered during a critical window of time. Information like how to get access to the internet, contact information for the Vet, specific pet routine information, etc. Details that only a pro would know to focus on under pressure.

Throughout the week we had multiple check-ins and personal touch bases with both Nat and Jodie to see how we were adjusting, answer questions, or just to meet for a “doggy play date.” Due to Nat and Jodie’s expert guidance we feel well prepped and confident to tackle any unexpected challenges while traveling or house sitting. 

One could go it alone, but why would you? Nat and Jodie’s course has been a game changer helping us to kickstart our “digital nomad” lifestyle and open ourselves up to incredible new opportunities with wonderful people.  100% would do it again!
